According to the CDC there are about 3 million emergency department visits due to older people falls.  Moreover, nearly 319,000 older people are hospitalized for hip fractures and falls are the most common cause of traumatic brain injuries (TBI). With statistics like these it is important to take necessary steps to help prevent falls and these types of injuries.
