The Transfiguration (Feast Day scripture)

August 6 is the annual commemoration of the Transfiguration. where Jesus reveals his divine glory to Peter, James, and John on a high mountain. His face and clothes shine with radiant light as he converses with Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and Prophets. A divine voice declares him the "Son" and instructs the disciples to listen to him. Readings from the Gospel of Mark 1:9-15 and the Gospel of Luke 4:1-15 and the Gospel of Matthew 4:1-11.
